Pet Food Storage Goes Stylish:
A Food Container Giveaway!

Did you enjoy the Gamma2 review yesterday? I am loving the fresh, airtight storage that their screw on lid affords me, and of course I now don't have to hide the container away behind a cabinet door because of its tacky appearance. This container looks like a fashionable piece of home decor, maybe even a cookie jar?

Further, dog food for Tanner and Oliver is not cheap. At 70 lbs. Tanner is quite the chow hound. We serve Organix, and sometimes you get what you pay for. For this reason, I like to take care that my food is stored safely to keep bugs out and freshness in.

Today we are proud to share a giveaway from the Gamma2 company. Three winners will receive a black woven container like the one I have, and 3 will go ultra-fashionable with a pink fluffy one. It almost looks like something you should store your cotton balls or Easter Bunny marshmallows in, but I assure you it is intended for pet food. :)

Are you ready? Dive into the Rafflecopter with your entries. Try the various options, including Facebook, photos, comments, and a choice to Tweet daily with two different messages. I hope to see some activity on @Gamma2inc so we can get them moving on Twitter.

  1. Steel has multiple food storage units that serve different purposes. For the most part yes, but some are not easy to use.

  2. Molimo uses an old old old Alpo tub my very first dog used. It fits perfectly, but it isn't air tight after all of these years.

    ReplyDelete
  3. I use a tub on wheels currently. The lid doesn't secure well and I can tell it doesn't keep the air out.

  4. For extra storage we use the frosting buckets from our grocery store. There isn't a rubber seal, but the four "snaps" are tight.

  5. I don't have a food storage container for the dog's food. I open the bag and close it again with clips. It's not air tight and I worry about bugs getting in. The bag is also hard to move around once opened.

  6. I had a 40 lb stackable Vittles Vault. It was great! Right now I don't have any food storage containers, so I use tape and clips on my Organix bags.

  7. I've been using a cookie jar. That pink container is so cute. If I don't win I'm buying it!

  8. @Rocky and Nelson: That's music to Gamma2's ears!

  9. Currently I have Bullet's food tucked away in a closet in a resealable bag. This would be great!

  10. I use a 10 lb dog food container, which is great. However, it would be great to have an additional container because the dog food bags are greater than 10 lbs.

  11. We don't have a container. We just dip into the bag. I would love to have a container for our dog food.

  12. For my dogs, I currently just use the bag it comes in because it is such a large bag and they go through it so quickly. For my rat food, since it is kept in the basement, I place the bag inside of a plastic container with a lid.

  13. I use an old 40 lb lard tin, but it is getting old and crumbs are coming out the bottom.

  14. I have a plastic bin with wheels for the cats and 1 for the dogs but when I tryy out new foods or ones that only certain pets eat for example I get a big bag of cat food to poor in the big container but am always in need of another container for either Snuggles favorite small bag or Happys favorite small bag, and the dogs have a big bag or multiple small bags in theirs and sometimes the different foods mix and Molly doesnt like all dry foods but their are certain ones Roxy absolutely loves so I still get them for her and I have to be careful that the different foods dont mix My favorite color is pink and both my dogs are girls so it would be perfect but I would be happy with the black one just as much I have been looking for some other storage containers for pet food and was very excited whe I saw this giveaway!

  15. Right now I keep all of the various types of food in their bags, and then stuffed into the pantry because I have one cat that cannot have any dry food. He will also do anything in his power to break into a bag if left unattended.

This would be perfect for Sarah's food! A 5 lb bag lasts her well over a month, and I've had problems keeping it fresh.

  16. We don't have food storage really we mostly just use the food bags and some times the really large ziploc bags. Would love to have something more secure and sturdier.

  17. I don't currently have a pet food storage container, just the bag on my kitchen counter. A container would work SO much better!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I just use the bag, and NO... it doesn't meet my needs.

  19. My mom works in a grocery store bakery and brings home the 5 gallon food grade icing buckets when they are empty. Since they are food grade, they meet our needs, but they aren't stylish, just a big white bucket. I use an empty Country Crock container for my room and refill it once every two to three days. I want something more stylish for my room.

  20. I currently use 2 plastic containers with snap on lids. I like them but they are not big enough. I buy 44lb of dog food every 3-4 weeks which fills them up and I always have 2-3 days worth of dog food left in the bag.

  21. This would be wonderful to own- I do not have a container to store my border collies food. Just a clip to keep the bag closed. He's a boy but I still think the pink container is cute.

  22. The cats food is in a blue plastc storage bin
The dogs food is in the bag it comes in.

  23. Would love this for pet food. Currently just try to zip the top back closed...often doesn't hold well.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I just use the bag and clip it. The bag is made with a different kind of plastic than normal so it's not easy to fold. Therefore, it's not airtight and doesn't meet my needs. Thank you for the chance to win!

  25. We have a 30 lb container for food right now, and it works great. However, I'd really love to have something for treats. We do a lot of training, and it would be great to have treats all in one place!

    ReplyDelete
  26. We are using a rubbermaid container that will barely fit a 28lb bag of dog food. It is not airtight. It does not really work well for us. I would love to win one of these fabulous Vittles Vaults! Thank you!

    ReplyDelete
  27. We don't have an actual container. With six dogs we are currently using the food bag. This doesn't work too well, because some of the dogs will end up eating right out of the bag and our ferret climbs in there and eats the food and sometimes hoards it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. i usually buy 15 lb bags, so i would need something to hold a 15 lb. bag. i have a smaller one that will hold a 5 lb. bag. so the one i have now does not meet my needs.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I actually use a 25 lb Vittles Vault right now, and it's great (it has cute little paw prints on it as well, we love that it's air-tight), but we could use the smaller one for travel to put Ralphie's food and treats in, it would be great!

  30. I'm actually not sure how big the container is that we currently have, but it doesn't hold enough to store the whole bag! We could definitely use another smaller container to hold the remainder and to look better out in the open (the current one is unsightly).

  31. We use plastic containers with a "flip" style latch. They work to keep the food fresh, but not Benny out! Sometimes he can be sneaky and work that flip latch with his nose!

  32. i got your message, i did put tags on the first picture that i sent, guess it did not take. hope this one works.

    ReplyDelete
  33. i use a plastic ice cream bucket. A nice pretty one would be great to keep inside my home.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I use a bag clip. It's white and even says "bag clip" on it.

    ReplyDelete
  35. We have a very old Tupperware spaghetti container that we put our kibble in. It sits on top of our refrigerator and gets ugly stares whenever someone comes over! Sure would be nice to have something "attractive" to store my dogs kibble in!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I only have the bag for storage.

    ReplyDelete
  37. our kitties have a big one but our doggie doesnt. our shiba only has a tiny container that cant even hold a small bag of food so a new container would be greatly appreciated!

    ReplyDelete
  38. We use an old pretzel container. It is not working for us. It's way too small!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I use multiple cereal or airtight storage containers. I do like the clear aspect of them because you can look at all the kibble as you store it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. we use a glass jar what i always fill up from the bag for our dogs and no its not airtight or very convenient for me to fill the jar up every 2 days

  41. I have one container that will hold 30 pounds. It meets my needs for the most part, but I would love one of these!

  42. We use a big tin, could use a bigger one.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I currently have a 40lb container for dog food but it doesn't always meet my needs since I rotate between different brands of dog foods and at times have an extra bag open.

  46. I don't currently use a storage container. My little guys eat Wellness dog food and it comes in a mylar bag with a zip top. It works ok, but it's hard to reseal so I think their food still gets a little stale.
