Here in Florida the weather is still plentiful warm so we're taking advantage of the availability of organic pumpkin to create some frozen treats for Tanner and Oliver. If it's too chilly where you live, tuck this recipe into your Summer plans and serve it whenever your pup can enjoy a cooling snack.

Pumpkin Pupsicles
Mix about 1 cup lowfat plain yogurt with 1 cup mashed pumpkin. I use organic to know I'm giving Tanner and Oliver the best--no fertilizers, pesticides or synthetic preservatives. You can add a tablespoon of honey if you wish, but honestly that's more for our tastes than for theirs.

I thought, "pupsicles? It's practically winter" then I saw you were from Florida. Lucky. It is cold here in the northwest but that means we get to go on beautiful fall color hikes. I think we will save the pupsicles for next summer though :)
Stopping by from the blog hop. Happy tails and trails.

LOL, I thought the same thing. We're freezing and Carrie is making Pupsicles! Geesh! LOL, Pupsicles are actually a winter favourite at our house. We make a human soup that is hot and then put frozen spice yogurt cubes in it and as they melt the soup gets creamier and spicier. It's a fun idea. WWe do the same thing with the pups ('cause I'm a geek) where I'll give them warm chicken stock with yogurt & chicken pupsicles in it. It's a family favourite!

You can also make peanut butter pupscicles. Substitute 1/4 cup of peanut butter for the pumpkins and you're all set.
