Our Dog Toy Testing Twosome
Takes on SafeMade Pet

Oliver, meet the Biggie Bone, made by SafeMade Pet. Let's see what Oliver thinks about this toy that has treats embedded in each end:

Tanner didn't have a chance. Once Oliver got hold of the Biggie Bone with that delicious Organix treat sticking out of each end--well, it was all over.

He enjoyed his usual silliness with the Tug and Toss, deciding it should be a pool toy. I had some fun fishing it out of the bottom of the pool and he had a few more minutes of contemplation.

Between you and me, I think he was contemplating the Biggie Bone, but Oliver got first shot at that, so he decided to take his turn with the Multichew Toy.

The Multichew is the chew toy for the big boys. It's larger, more solid and has some great textures to explore:

Tanner has enjoyed sinking his teeth into the Multichew at those times when I can see he needs a bit of extra energy release. Chewing is sort of like getting on a treadmill; it releases stress. He enjoys this toy when he clearly needs to let off steam or burn energy.

I suppose Tanner earned a chance at the Biggie Bone. We'll try to grab a pic of that before we post the giveaway plan tomorrow afternoon. Watch for our review of SafeMadePet's Flexi-bowl tomorrow morning. The boys sure did enjoy their special treat baked in it:

I’ve set up a toy crate for my four-legged boy and it contains store bought dog toys as well as old socks, plastic bottles, ropes, old towels, etc. Because I haven’t trained him to put them away at the end of every day, I do that for him. So, each morning he chooses which ever toy strikes his fancy and brings it to me as an invitation to play.

This morning he wanted to play with his tug and pull rope while the day before it was a rubber ball that he selected. And, by the way, he firmly sticks by his selection because when I tried to offer another toy, he refuses to play. Even bribing him with a treat won’t change his mind.

As I said, dogs are funny about their toys and it’s awfully cute to watch.; June 22, 2011 at 12:22 PM
