Tell us about your dog's favorite exercise at this time of year. I suppose many of you still find yourself bogged down in snow or cold weather. In Central Florida, early March is warm already, as you could guess my hubby's shorts. Today it was 78 degrees--perfect running weather.
The comment link is open for business. Tell me how your dog got his exercise today. It will be fun for me to see that variety since we all have different weather issues in March. Join in the conversation!

My dog helped me train for my first 1/2 marathon (although he didn't join me for runs longer than 8 miles). He was a great motivator!

Hey there Tanner,
I looooove running, it's great to see you out there with your Dad. My Dad is injured at the moment so I just run with my Mum, but we do it nearly every day, I'm always ready to go, last night she even went to get her running shoes (no idea why?) and I got all excited as I thought we were going for a run - it was 10pm, but I didn't care!
Have a great day blog hopping

Looking good guys!!
We usually keep fit with a dedicated daily walk of min 30minutes and some daytripping hikes for a few hrs on weekends.
Alas... winter snow is getting in our way. Lots of chasing plastic pop bottle on the iced patio and ball throwing in the house.. did I say in the house? Heehee

I might be really little, but I love to run up the trail behind our house.

Hmm, my dog exercised her jaws at chewing up my phone today.
But at this time of the year, with a little snow left on the street, we go out for a run in the parking lot. My dog Aschiuta also loves playing fetch with her tennis ball, which is a good indoor exercise too.

Oh, I want 78 degrees!!!
Daley's Chocolate Lab energy was at maniac level until he was about six! Running was the best way to exercise him, focus some of that energy and keep myself in shape, too.
The Oregon Humane Society has a running program that pairs shelter dogs with volunteers for an outing a couple of days a week. The dogs LOVE it!

It's raining in California so we just ran off some copies and jumped to conclusions.

Very clever Jan! Another reader suggested, while I was injured in January, that I set up my agility course around the house and direct the dogs to run it. I love these comical ideas!

Our Mama doesn't like running at all! Gramma runs with Trixie sometimes. But the rest of us have to settle for nice, long walks! Our favorite exercise for us dogs is wrestling together and chasing each other around in the yard. We are each other's best exercise coaches!

Hi Trixie, Lily and Sammy-Joe: I tried really hard to leave you a comment, but Blogger was misbehaving. It looks like the wrestling coach idea is working, since you guys are all sleeping. Good job!

I wish my cats would take walks with me! Might motivate me to get outside on a walk more often :)

Hi Y'all,
I like to do all sorts of different things and we vary them. I'm hopin' my Human will start runnin' with me again...lately she's slowin' down to walks.
We get pleasure walks while she plays with takin' pictures. We go outside and "work" either on retrieves of hidden objects or obedience or agility. Then at least once a day we go outside while it's still cool in the morning and play with one of my toys.
Y'all come by now,

We had gorgeous weather today so as usual, we headed to the dog park. It is actually a ponding basin and it's really long so I run it (I hate running too though) like it's a track field and the dogs just follow me. If I just stand around and chit chat, they seem to do the same. LOL! So I have to get moving to get them moving. Kinda works out for the both of us.
