An older dog, a one legged dog, a dog-eared dog. Whatever the minor imperfection, he may be the perfect pet. He needs a home too. Don't pass him by; give him a second look.

It is so sad to see the many pets waiting for homes, and so many unjustifiably. I appluad the owners who made the decision to "shelter" an animal, either due to losing home, income, and usually both. After I was told I had to move out of my dad's home ( after he passed away) I had a Parrot, Greyhound, 4 Uromastyx, 2 snakes, and a cat to support. It was a rough year. My Greyhound was 14, too old to re-home, but had medical issues also. So I hung in, often going without myself to give to the critters. It would have been easier to just give themup, but they were all we had left of our "family" However, I wish there had been a better way for my dog, perhaps a kind soul who would have taken him.
So, now I try to help, by doing transport whenever I can (for free) and transport the animals that are being saved from kill shelters and move them to safety where they can find homes. I have a dog who was in a kill shelter at 3 weeks old, saved by a generous soul and placed on a transport with her sisters bound for safety in Ct. I adopted her when she was 14 weeks old, she is now 9 months, and a joy. Believe it or not, she had been deemed, "unadoptable".
Please help all you can. Perfect dogs are not just perfect in looks, many are perfect inside.
